What is the MBA Business Project?
In partnership with the University of South Queensland, UUNZ Institute of Business offers the MBA Business Project. This practical project work requires students to investigate a particular aspect of an organisation’s business or management practices, and will include:
- A comprehensive review of the related literature and good practice elsewhere.
- Gathering and analysis of relevant data.
- Recommendations for organisational improvement.
Students will be required to spend some time on the organisation’s premises. This may range from as little as 10 hours up to 50 hours, depending upon the project’s scope. There is no expectation that organisations enter into an employment arrangement with students. However, organisations are of course free to negotiate any additional work arrangements with the students should they wish.
The intended outcome of the Business Project is a set of recommendations for the organisation that are both practical and credible. Projects can be tailored in size for an individual student or for a group of students (up to three). There are endless possibilities for the type of projects students can undertake. These cover a broad range of business fields, including:
- Accounting
- Finance
- Human Resource Management
- Information Systems
- Marketing
- Organisational Behavioural Management
- Strategic Management
